Protection of Critical Infrastructure – pswp Briefing
With the adoption of the KRITIS Umbrella Act and the NIS2 Implementation Act, which entered into force in December, companies face significantly tightened legal obligations regarding cybersecurity and the physical protection of critical facilities. In our current briefing, we provide an initial overview of the key obligations and deadlines. In doing so, we draw on our experience, including from ongoing negotiations of initial public-law contracts for the protection of critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea against hostile interference, as well as from advising energy companies, corporate IT providers, and supervisory bodies.
